WINTER PARKING RESTRICTIONS
Parking restrictions will be in effect from November 1 to April 1. During this period no parking is allowed on City streets between the hours of 2 am and 6 am regardless of weather conditions. Vehicles should refrain from parking on the street during and after a snowfall until the plows have cleared the street.
FIRE HYDRANTS
Snow can prove especially challenging when trying to fight fires. In many cases, it makes fire hydrants hard to see or access. Remember, a few minutes of work now can make all the difference later!
- Clear-away zone
- Remove any snow and ice
- Clear a path from hydrant and street
- Clear a wide enough perimeter around the hydrant for firefighters to work (about 3 feet)

SNOW REMOVEL
Property owners should shovel, plow, or blow snow onto their property or boulevard adjacent to their property and not in the street. Snow should not be shoveled into any public street. Snow placed in the street can be compacted and turn into hard mounds of ice. It can be dangerous if a plow truck hits these mounds of ice and could result in damage to the plow truck.
TRASH CANS/BASKETBALL HOOPS
The Public Works Department asks residents to refrain from putting trash cans, recycling cans, and basketball hoops on the street, sidewalk, or in the right of way. Snowplow drivers want to clear the streets from the safety of residents and trash cans/hoops need to be out of the way.
