About the Project:
The project will include reconstructing Main Avenue between County Road 37 and CR 18, replacing and upgrading the existing infrastructure on this important corridor including street lighting, sanitary sewer, watermain and storm sewer. Street scape improvements will be added adjacent to Central Park.

Sidewalk infrastructure is being upgraded along Main Avenue. Currently, sidewalks are located on both sides of the street from 60th Street to 53rd Street, but only on the east side south of 53rd Street. All existing sidewalks are directly back of curb and do not meet ADA standards. The new sidewalks will include a grass boulevard between the road and sidewalk, comply with ADA standards, and extend the length of the corridor on both sides. Sidewalk improvements will increase access for residents and make it safer and more comfortable to walk, bike, or roll to the business district, the school or the park.
